That’s right. I’m obsessed with the chicken burger. It’s a much healthier alternative to the hamburger and it tastes WAY better. My first burger adventure was the Cordon Blue burger, but I’ve varied this recipe tons.
2 pounds ground chicken breast
1 cup chopped (finely) ham pieces
4 ounces shredded provolone, mozzarella or swiss cheese
1/4 cup grated onion (MUST grate it, don’t chop, trust me)
1/2 tsp of garlic powder and onion powder
1 tsp paprika
2 tsp dijon mustard
Sliced provolone for the top of each burger
Buns (I prefer a kaiser roll or onion bun, don’t skimp on the bun on these ones)
Mix all ingredients together (other than the cheese for the top and the bun, of course). Form into 4 even patties. Put 1 tsp oil in the bottom of a hot skillet and cook the burgers 6-7 minutes a side. YOU MUST COOK THESE ALL THE WAY THROUGH! IT’S CHICKEN!! No raw chicken burgers!
Once cooked, top with cheese and put on the bun. These are so good they don’t even need sauce.
