I scored an amazing price on Hillshire Farm smoked sausage rings  and instant mashed potatoes last week at the store… but I NEVER know what to do with those things, so I got to thinking and here’s what I came up with and boy, was it TASTY!!

I made homemade lasagna noodles… but you can cheat. You need enough lasagna noodles to make three layers (pre cook your noodles since there is no sauce for them to suck up!)

1 Hillshire Farm smoked sausage ring, sliced into bite size pieces

2 packages 4 cheese instant mashed potatoes

8 ounces cream cheese

Make the mashed potatoes according to package directions and add in the cream cheese.

Put a small layer of mashed potatoes in the bottom of a baking dish, add noddles, add more potatoes and 1/2 of the smoked sausage, add another layer of noodles, then potatoes and remaining sausage. Top with one final layer of noodles. Spray the top layer of noodles with nonstick cooking spray to keep it tender, cover with foil. Bake on 350 for 45 minutes. Let cool 15 (you NEED to let it cool or it’s runny and doesnt taste as good). I topped it with a little garlic butter…. it was SOOOO good! It was so good that I’d actually purchase these items to make this lasagna again…
